Checking Electricity When Buying a Home

Often in old houses, outlets can be broken, outlets that are not GFCI enabled (which can be a shock hazard) or there could be double tapped circuit breakers (a fire hazard!)

What you can do?

Get an electrician in to access what work should be done and give an estimate on how much that will cost you. Oftentimes a home inspection report will list a ton of electrical hazards but don’t be alarmed! Many of these hazards can be fixed without much expense.
